Overview

Permissions Minimal

quickMarks requests a single browser permission:

• Bookmarks — Read-only access to your browser's bookmark tree, used solely to display your bookmarks within the extension popup.

No other permissions (tabs, browsing history, content scripts, storage, etc.) are requested.

Data Collection

quickMarks does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected.
• No browsing history is accessed or recorded.
• No analytics, telemetry, or tracking tools are used.
• No accounts or sign-ins are required.
• No data is stored locally or in the cloud — bookmarks are fetched fresh from the browser each time the popup is opened.

Third-Party Services

quickMarks makes requests to a single external service:

• Google Favicon API — For each bookmark displayed, the extension requests the website's favicon image from https://www.google.com/s2/favicons. Only the hostname (domain) of the bookmarked URL is included in this request. No full URLs, bookmark titles, or other data are sent.

These requests are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

No other external servers, APIs, or third-party services are used.

Data Storage

quickMarks does not use any storage mechanisms. It does not write to:

• Chrome's storage API
• Local storage or session storage
• Cookies
• IndexedDB or any other database

All data is processed in memory and discarded when the popup is closed.

Data Sharing

Your data is never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties. The only network requests made are the favicon fetches described above.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Significant changes will be communicated through the extension's update notes.
